Background Information
I have done extensive work with individuals, couples, and families and have conducted numerous group therapy sessions. I have also lectured on transcultural therapy issues at conferences as well as being a guest speaker on therapy issues at a university level. My experience with children includes an internship in emergency mental health at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, as well as working as an art educator, a day camp coordinator and animator, and assisting in a pre-school setting.
General Approach
I use an integrative blend of emotionally-focused, psychodynamic and psycho-educational models which are adjusted to suit the needs of her clients.
Preliminary sessions focus on making a map with the client to decide what direction the therapy will take. The process is always interactive with the therapist being guided by the client’s input, pace and comfort level.
